17 Weeks!

Four months on Saturday. It's so awesome, this whole mom/dad/kid/family thing we've got going on.
I love walking in the door after work and seeing my girl all snuggly with her dad, or waking up from nap, or ready to eat.


She is a keeper!

14 weeks

Harp has started showing an interest in hold her own bottle. What next? Dressing herself, probably.

I had my board meeting tonight for FOA and I brought her along. It could have been horrible, but she slept through the whole thing and woke when we adjourned, just in time to get love from the other members. She was great!

Now, Dan is appeasing her with her zebra while I take a minute to post these pictures. Such a change in so little time :)

13 weeks and visit with auntie!

 My child is 3 months old! 


We all had a WONDERFUL time with Auntie Ciara visiting from Turkey!  It was a bummer I had to start back at work while she was here, but having her here made coming home that much more exciting!  We (mostly C) made dinners,  and got to craft (mostly C again...she made two quilts while she was here!). 

 The first weekend, we had a great time at a dinner party one of Dan's friends threw.  And in a weird coincidence, there were two other people with Turkey connections!

 Ciara got Harper a great Valentine's outfit - which she is showing off here.  Heart Breaker!

 We had a great visit and we already miss Ciara!  There is nothing like having family around.  And really, to get 11 whole days of her time makes me and Harp feel pretty special! 

We'll get to see Ciara again, hopefully this July/August when she's on her summer break.  Only a few months!

12 Weeks!

Harper is 12 weeks! 

This has been a busy week.  I started back at work on Wednesday, AND Ciara is here visiting from Turkey.  It feels so great to have so many adults to talk to, but I have to be honest...I would give up all of the adults at work to hang home with Harper all day :)  She is just so freakin' cute and fun!

But, that's not the case. 

Before Harper was born, I was happy to be off of work and come home, but now.  Well.  Now I can't wait to get home and pick up my girl and squeeze her!  And I've really only not seen her for about 4 hours, as I come home for lunch! 

So here she is at 12 weeks (really 12 weeks and a day because the photos just didn't happen yesterday.)  She is getting ready for a bath, hence the shots in her skivvies.

11 weeks!

 11 Weeks!  Harper is such a joy! 

She was happy to try sitting up yesterday, and with the help of a couple pillows, all was well.  She was so proud of herself and her new perspective!

10 weeks!

Hat is courtesy of a street vendor in Antigua, Guatemala, and her onesie comes from her baby shower last August here in Blono (I think Audrey made this one, but I'm not sure :/

9 weeks

 I missed last Thursday, so we're making up for it today :)  Harper is sporting her baby legs and home made shirt.  9 Weeks!  And she is so happy about it!

8 weeks!

 8 weeks!  It goes so fast!  Harper has started putting her hands in her mouth - a very exciting discovery for her.  Dan and I aren't worried about her sucking her thumb, as it seems a very helpful tool when her pacifier falls out in the middle of the night.  For now it's still a surprise when it makes it to her face!  And so far, she isn't showing a hand preference.  Dan is rooting for her to be a lefty, and I am just excited for her to use her hands :)

There is also a picture for Auntie Ciara near the bottom - I think she looks quite a bits like you when you were a baby! 

When she is asleep, I think she looks an awful lot like her auntie Ciara, when she was a baby!
