My adorable daughter, and thoughts on potty training

These pictures are from our friends wedding this past summer, but I just got my hands on them.  Are they just lovely?  She has changed so much in 6 months.  *tear*

In other news, we are packing and moving.  Why not move to Chicago in winter?

One positive side effect of all this crazy, is Harper seems to enjoy the freedom she has: she draws on the boxes, refuses to wear pants, and only wants to eat peanut butter and pancakes.  With food coloring.  Green, or blue pancakes are now the menu item for second-breakfast.  AND, she has felt empowered to potty.  Without pants, I've put her panties on and we're doin' this potty thing.  It's awesome.  Sometimes we use the timer, sometimes we go with the flow (ha!), sometimes we do diapers, but she is telling me more often when she needs to go, and she is starting to understand that she needs to push her panties down before sitting.  Progress!

A down side of our new apartment is we no longer have in-home laundry.  So this all couldn't come at a better time.

Early November

This is where Harp likes to eat her snack now.

She can peel her own clementines, once you get it started.

She just had her 2 year well visit at the doc, and she's 34 inches tall and a whopping 27lbs 14 oz.

Harper received this cart for her birthday, and tried to help put it together, now before she pushes it around, she persistently want to get the screwdriver, and "fix" it.  It's adorable.

She is also a fan of the squirt bottle.  She was cleaning the floors for about 20 minutes.  Win!

"Smiling" for the camera in her new headband from Trish.

And enjoying a cracker in Grandma Nee's new hat.

This sweatshirt may be next year's Halloween costume.

And POOF! She's 2

We had a great time celebrating Harper for her 2nd birthday.  Friends joined us at their leisure from 10a-2p and she just loved it!

Running around the house, playing with her new sleeping bag (handmade by Grandma Linda!), attempting somersaults with Oscar, playdoh with Finnegan and Cosette, and visiting with her big friends too.

As of yesterday, Harper is 34 inches tall, 27 pounds.  She loves coloring, painting, the seek and find book from cousin Owen, and climbing on top of everything!

And just one year ago, she was this little butterball!

Halloween with her Bestie

Harper had such a great time in her costume!  We went to the mall after daycare to meet up with her bestie, Oscar, who dress up as Mork, from Mork and Mindy.  It was a trip to see them together!  The mall was packed, as it was raining outside, so instead of loading up on candy and standing in line like cattle, we let the kids do what they wanted, which was to play with the car/shopping carts chained at one section in a non-busy corridor.

Another successful Halloween in the books!
